I have been trying to stick to my schedule of riding at least 25 miles two days a week, but its been difficult and I have to say that I have not yet reached it. I have been riding more than I ever have in the past though. Back when I was living in Sonoma County I would only ride to work (1.8 miles one way) 5 days a week, and do a butt kicker SS mountain bike ride once a week. When I have the motivation to get out and do a ride I try to make it at least 25 miles with at least 1200ft of climbing. I am feeling great and have even brought up my mph average. The tracking device I am using is "in development" so it tracks my ride fairly accurately, like a Garmin. My plan is to pick up one of the ibike GPS units once they come out.
I was also given a set of WTB cross wolf tires by our local rep to try out for cross season. I installed them on my Yeti ARCx tonight and am planning a 30 mile loop tomorrow to test them out. The loop only has a 3 mile off road section, but riding LA streets is like being on a fire road. Its very bumpy. I have also sold off my 2004 Yeti ASR-SL to a friend. I haven't touched my mountain bike since my visit up north in April. I figured I can use that money for a new Campy Chorus 11 groupo for my cross bike, or for another bike in the works? Over all I am enjoying riding a lot more now that I am finally feeling better. Spinning has really helped my legs get back into shape and I know they will only get better from here on out. Here is a link to my last ride.
