I'm Bald

Well, today was an amazing day on the mountain bike. My new riding buddy and friend Mike picked me up early and took me to his old stomping grounds in Claremont to show me his favorite trails. We started off on the Claremont wilderness trail at the base of Mt. Baldy and climbed for about 2 miles. That was the hardest 2 miles I have ever ridden in my life, and because of it, I have decided to upgrade to a new full suspension bike, with gears. Once we hit the top we then dropped down into Marshal Canyon via some intense single track full of ruts and sand. Holding the brakes the entire way didn't seem to matter because they weren't slowing me down much. Towards the end of the Marshal Canyon descent we went into a nice wooded area that brought me back to riding in Annadel. Also, because of the recent rains down here the handful of creek crossings we encountered were full and roar'n. I got wet. We then turned around and headed up the trail we descended down until we hit the Potato Mt. trail. Another steep climb up before we hit the main fire road back to the car. Overall it was a fun and fast ride and I am looking forward to exploring more of the beautiful trails this place has to offer..... and getting a new full suspension bike. I know, I know, A1. I never should have sold the Rize.
